Annabella Koloskov AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Senior Medical Planner
Annabella’s early interest in healthcare was influenced by her father who was a physician and her pre-med work as a research assistant. An unpleasant personal experience within a hospital sparked her to change course. Recognizing the facility’s design made little sense to patients and was worsening their experience, she decided to become an architect specializing in the complexities of healthcare planning.
Twenty years later, Annabella practices an open-minded approach listening, engaging, collaborating and leading our clients into the future of healthcare delivery. With the added value of her personal experience, she facilitates discussions to advance a strategic plan, establish guiding principles, and build consensus among all stakeholders. She helps clients consider all the options to maximize their space in ways they might not have, based on LEAN methodologies and what evidence tells us.
Annabella is especially enthusiastic about diagnostic and treatment areas including oncology spaces. Working with doctors, clinicians, staff, patient and family advisory groups from pre-design through design development, she aligns spaces to represent what is important to everyone while accommodating the rapidly changing requirements of the industry.
