Health Education Planning & Design
Some people might say I'm a bit of a smarty pants. I love learning about cool stuff and sharing what I know.
I have always enjoyed being an architect – particularly the act of creating beautiful spaces through gathering information and digging into the technical details. But when I studied the connection between the built environment and human behavior in graduate school, it changed the direction of my career. The buildings we make together can have such an impact on the people who use them!
With an affinity for healthcare and higher education projects, I found my sweet spot, developing an expertise in academic health planning. My happiest days are when I am working with educators, caregivers, and scientists to solve difficult problems. I also spend time participating in the national dialog on trends in interprofessional education – touring facilities to find precedents, conducting post-occupancy research, and speaking at conferences.
I will be your energetic advocate to make the most of your project, bringing a base of knowledge to continuously improve the buildings that will influence tomorrow's healthcare heroes.
