Karl Stumpf FAIA, LEED AP BD+C
Government Sector Leader
From preservation of our country’s landmarks to development of modern workplaces, I have dedicated my career to helping government agencies better serve the public through their buildings. At EYP, I accomplish this goal by creating and leading project teams that support our clients and their missions. I assemble the right people with the skills, commitment, and passion to go the extra mile.
And with three decades of experience, I know that every project is important. Whether a 1 million SF headquarters for the Department of Defense or an emergency generator replacement in an obscure building, all projects, regardless of size, support the important role government plays.
In particular, design teams under my leadership have modernized some of our nation’s most public icons – including the U.S. Capitol and the EPA Headquarters – honoring and preserving the buildings where American history happens. The inherently complex issues of historic building renovations require creative design solutions, and I am committed to delivering these results and improving the experience of those who visit and work in these landmarks.
And what keeps me so interested in this work? I get to learn something new every day. It might be about a client, co-worker, or new way to advance the quality of our work. Whatever it is, it keeps things fun and interesting and allows me to continue sharing my passion for this work.
