Design impacts how we feel in tangible ways. As a healthcare architect, I help plan and create spaces that do more than just meet codes and satisfy basic requirements.

The design of hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities has a measurable impact on clinical outcomes, pain reduction, stress levels, and staff satisfaction. Delivering evidence-informed design can reduce patient stays, lower costs, and offer social and economic benefits to the community.
I look forward to going the extra mile — designing healthcare buildings that meet standards of care and best practices and beyond, even facilities that stand up to hurricanes! I look beyond logistics to the nuances of the built environment: How can our building help patients heal from illness or injury and bounce back? How can our building attract new, talented team members and retain current staff? The answers to these questions are where the art and science of our craft come together.

My aspiration is innovative and sustainable design, on budget, on schedule — and a happy team. The secret? Collaboration and communication. I make listening to the various perspectives of clients, psychologists, contractors, engineers, and consultants a priority. My goal is to forge a consensus, using novel ideas and hard-won expertise to bring innovation and change, transforming dreams into reality.
