Trinity University senior engineering students use a flexible workspace in the new Center for the Sciences and Innovation. The five story, multi-winged Center for the Sciences and Innovation is the largest building project in the university's history. Instead of having siloed science departments, the new center purposefully jumbles chemistry labs next to bio labs near a machine shop and collaboration space. The idea is to spark innovation by cross-breeding the disciplines.
