Students meet at EYP's DC office to learn about working in an integrated A/E firm

On Saturday, July 20th, the DC office hosted a reception for the Grassroots Leadership Conference organized by the American Institute of Architecture Students. Seventy-five architecture students from colleges and universities across the Southeast learned what it’s like to work in an integrated A/E firm and had the opportunity to network with each other and firm leaders.

Team members from across disciplines including architecture, engineering, interior design, project management, and marketing spoke to their experiences at EYP and in their careers. They listened to students discuss their passions and what they're looking for in a role after graduation. Lastly, they answered questions and gave advice on what it's like transitioning from college to your first job.

The DC team set up stations around the office that put the firm's work on display. We created boards showcasing some of our most impactful projects in higher education, healthcare, government, and science and technology and used image galleries to highlight our office culture. From a VR headset that allowed students to explore some of our most impactful projects like the Social Sciences and Humanities Building at Grinnell College, to a culture wall where students shared what they value, we provided attendees with an overview who we are.

We had a great evening talking to current students and sharing our company culture with them!
