The Robert L. Wright Health Sciences Center exemplifies Columbus Technical College’s commitment to long-term growth of the region’s workforce, maintaining the highest standards in interprofessional health education, training, and first-class healthcare for Columbus and the surrounding area.
The three-story classroom building is infused with hands-on simulation technology and spaces that allows students to work side-by-side in cohort in a setting that mirrors the real-world clinical environment. Learning labs supporting the various programs are complete with the latest medical equipment and mimics typical clinical layouts. The hospital simulation center includes a working operating room, as well as radiology, trauma, and treatment/exam rooms. A simulated nursing unit with five- to ten-bed nursing hubs features functioning headwalls and computerized simulation mannequins.
