Washington, DC

Washington, DC is brimming with big ideas, and our local office thrives off the city’s diverse perspectives and philosophies. High-performance design, health and wellness, and environmental responsibility are hot topics here. And, we keep the conversation fresh with events like our speaker series where thought leaders engage and inspire us. Everyone’s voice matters, and we’re curious about what you think.

Virtual Sketch-A-Thon

EYP Sketchers is a weekly Virtual Friday Happy Hour series. Artists from EYP offices across the country gather to sketch a selected image, usually of a travel scene shared within the group. The hour of sketching has become a relaxing bookend to the week where everyone gathers, kicks back, shares stories and practices drawing skills. Each sketcher has their own style and are constantly developing in an environment encouraging experimentation with different medium and techniques. Check out some of our Sketchers’ work!

People with Impact

The People with Impact Speaker Series features experts, activists, designers, and business leaders who come to our office each month and share their stories, ideas, and how they are making a positive impact on their community.

About the Series
EYP DC team participating in Canstruction

Each year, the DC office participates in AIA|DC's CANstruction, sponsored by the Capital Area Food Bank, Giant Food Stores, and the Washington Architectural Foundation. This past year, teams across DC, Virginia, and Maryland participated in the competition, donating approximately 82,000 cans to the Capital Area Food Bank, the region’s primary resource for healthy food for those facing daily hunger. Inspired by the 1980's theme, our design used 2,793 cans and 150 bags of jumbo marshmallows to create the popular childhood Care Bear toy.
